I love beachwear and shop for it every summer for my beach trips. I found Aerie, American Eagle to be the best place because of its quality, price range and prints. 

Aerie can be found on American Eagle’s store or online. It has the best-rubberized swimsuits, bikinis, tankinis and also beach lingeries and a wide range of other options. Aerie sells the bikini bottoms and tops are sold separately. The sizes available are from A to D with options of underwire styling for extra support. The bottoms can’t be exchanged or returned in Aerie. It costs around ¥3,000 to ¥5,000 per piece

Swimsuits are available year-round from the Japanese swimwear company and retailer Peak&Pine. They provide eye-catching, attractive swimwear styles, including floral and ribbon patterns. 

The downside I found at this store is that they have limited sizing. So it may make it difficult to find a suit in your size. But the store makes up for this with its online store. You can search for upto 2XL swimwear sizes on the online store.

Forever 21 is one the best places to shop for swimwear in Tokyo for me as most of my swimwear are from this brand. I can’t get over the brand’s pricing and also collection which is just on point all the time- summers, winters or spring.

You can get your bikinis in pairs or separately, it’s all up to you as both options are available with a wide range of styles like bikini, tankini, high-waist bottoms, lace ups or cut outs or the basic lingerie and there are also plus size swimwear in Tokyo stores. 

The sizes are constant and the quality is undeniably amazing. I often get confused when I shop from Forever because everything just looks so good and I want to have it all. The sizes are also pretty constant even if they are of different styles so don’t worry about the fits!

One piece suits cost around ¥2,000 and ¥3,000 here which is reasonable for the fit, quality and style it offers.

In case you’re not satisfied with the swim set, you can return the bikini top but you will have to keep the bottoms with yourself as it cannot be exchanged or returned.

Ted Baker is a London based luxury brand that is famous around the world. Ted Baker might not be among the best places to shop for swimwear in Tokyo because of its limited collection but still the options available are great!

The quality and the fit of the swimwear in Ted Baker are what makes it worth buying. Slimming one-pieces and high waisted bikini bottoms along with a long-line underwire top are amongst the best pieces of swimwear in this brand.

Also, if you want perfect coverage, you can go for their string bikinis that look awesome on everyone regardless of the body type you have. The prints available here are awesome with unique patterns and amazingly colourful. 

Ted Baker’s swimwear can be a little expensive but goes a long way. So, if you’re planning to get one from this brand, make sure you use it at least for 3-4 summers.

Though it is kinda new to Tokyo certainly has already become one of the best places to shop for swimwear in Tokyo. Calzedonia is an Italian legwear and beachwear that is great to own, you can have a look yourself.

It hasn’t gone online in Japan yet and the Shinjuku and Omotesando stores do not have the entire collection but it is still worth seeing because what if you just find yourself a perfect lingerie in the limited collection. 

There are collections likeable for buxom girls and also a collection of surf fitness that is my favourite. It is great for when you want to get engaged in some water sports on the beach that will make you look sassy and classy at the same time. 

There are also beach cover-ups available for when you’re done with the water sports and want some time by the shore. The price ranges from ¥2,500 for a basic bikini bottom to  ¥11,000 for a fancy bikini set, the choice is always yours!
