Guide To Using SIRI In Japanese

iPhone’s Siri: An Introduction

Siri is the virtual voice assistant of the operating systems released by Apple Inc. such as the iOS, iPad OS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and audioOS systems.

These operating systems are only available in products that are manufactured and licensed by Apple Inc. like the iPhones, iPods, iPads, iWatch, Macbook computers, etc.

Siri was introduced to the world in October 2011 during the launch of the iPhone 4S and then made its way into other Apple products.

The basic function of Siri is to comply with voice commands from the user such as performing phone calls, making reminders, setting up events, finding information on the internet, helping with navigation and routes, playing preferred entertainment content, and whatnot.

Although Siri’s initial version was able to perform countless actions, it still received negative reviews when it came to versatility. The older version of Siri could only perform limited functions and hence was not praised by many Apple users.

However, Siri made a massive breakthrough between 2016 and 2017 when iOS 10 and iOS 11 were launched. The advanced version of Siri was then able to perform internet calls, online banking functions, carpooling / ridesharing, and even had access to third-party applications.
