Minon Amino Moist Charge Lotion: What’s In The Box?

Well, I always buy all my products on Amazon, so I got it shipped to me and it came very well-packed. What I liked is that this product came in its own box as well.

In the box, along with the product came a set of instructions. But since I cannot read Japanese, that wasn’t useful for me (but I got the instructions for use from the product’s official page). The bottle is small and sleek, super convenient for the purpose of travel.

Top Active Ingredients Of Minon Amino Moist Charge Lotion With Their Benefits

This was the first time I was trying out a product that contained amino acids, for the skin. So, I was quite intrigued to see how exactly amino acids benefit my skin.

Along with amino acids, this product also has glycerin, castor oil, and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid among its top active ingredients. Here is how these ingredients will benefit your skin.

Glycerin

Glycerin is an amazing natural humectant for the skin. It can help the moisture be retained in the skin, thus keeping the skin very well hydrated for long hours.

It can help reduce skin dryness and keep the skin’s surface to the skin’s barrier refreshed and rejuvenated. Glycerin is an emollient agent and can help smoothen and soften the skin’s texture as well.

Amino Acids

This product is known to have around eleven different types of amino acids blended together. Amino acids are very essential nutrients for the skin as they can help heal and repair damaged skin and can also balance the amount of water that goes in and out of the skin barrier.

It can also help maintain skin hydration and make the skin more resilient. Thus, amino acids can help improve the overall appearance of the skin making it look healthy.

Castor Oil

Castor oil is rich in a type of fat called ricinoleic acid which is a monounsaturated fatty acid that can help keep the skin moisturized. When castor oil is used on the skin, it becomes an occlusive moisturizer.

Occlusive moisturizers form a film or a protective barrier on the skin and can thus help prevent the loss of moisture from the skin’s barrier. It is known to be a great treatment for those with dry skin types.

Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is one of the very common ingredients used in skin moisturizers because the elements in hyaluronic acids can be broken down into fine particles, thus making it easy to enter and penetrate into the skin.

As an ingredient, hyaluronic acid has the capacity to draw moisture into itself, thus known as a humectant, as it can hold water for a long time. So, it does help hydrate the skin and can also help improve the overall appearance of the skin.

My Experience Using The Minon Amino Moist Charge Lotion

I stumbled upon this product while surfing the internet and looking up moisturizing products. I also visited the official page for the Minon Amino Moist Charge Lotion and checked out its ingredients and its benefits for the skin. It showed very promising results.

I have been using this product for around two months now and I must say that it has many plus points. It is good in terms of moisturizing as it has powerful skin-hydrating ingredients.

minon face wash

I used this lotion on my whole body and it did make my skin feel better hydrated and soft. But I feel like the effects are not very long-lasting, so twice-a-day applications are what I do sometimes, whenever I feel my skin becoming dry.

To describe the texture of this product, I feel like it was creamy and slightly thick when it came out of the bottle, but as you lather it on your palms and massage it over your skin, it melts and is smooth to apply.

The best part is that even though the quantity is just 100 ml, it does last pretty long because you need just a little product and it goes a long way.

Also, the lotion is not greasy! That is something that I like because it doesn’t feel sticky on the skin and gets absorbed into the skin within no time.

As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I was really glad that this product worked very well and didn’t affect my sensitive skin with any reactions.

I was absolutely happy that the flaking and itchiness on my skin had reduced to a great extent.

What I also really liked is the fact that the smell of this product is absolutely neutral! Very mild and almost close to an unscented product.

Another thing that I noticed is that I can use this on my face and then apply my makeup after some time and the makeup comes out perfectly. Yes, it doesn't smudge.

I use this lotion on my body after I have had my shower and on my face, every morning after I’ve washed my face with a mild cleanser.

Is The Minon Amino Moist Charge Lotion Worth The Price?

So on the official Minon website, I found this product for $29, while on Amazon, I bought it for $25.70. Well, I bought a 100-gram bottle for this price and I honestly think it wasn’t worth it.

Not only because the quantity was less, but also because I feel like there are many other Japanese brands that have better and cheaper products that also deliver amazing results. The reason I can say this is because I have tried out some other such products myself.

But since it did deliver considerably good results, if you feel like this price falls within your budget, you can go in for this lotion.

Pros And Cons: Minon Amino Moist Charge Lotion

Pros:

·         This lotion has very powerful natural moisturizing ingredients that help keep the skin well-moisturized and soft.

·         It works well even on sensitive skin, with no side effects.

·         Once you’ve used this lotion, you can still apply makeup on your face with no worries about it smudging.

·         Has a very mild smell, almost like an unscented product.

·         Helps reduce flaking and skin itchiness considerably.

·         This lotion is not greasy or sticky and is a lightweight product.

Cons:

·        Shows good results but isn’t very long-lasting and reapplication may be required after a sufficient time has passed.

·         Compared to other such Japanese moisturizing lotions, this one’s comparatively quite expensive.

How To Use The Minon Amino Moist Charge Lotion?

This lotion is very simple and easy to use. The official website gives instructions on how to use it for your face, but I use it on my body (legs and hands) as well. Here’s how you can use it.

Step 1: Wash your skin

Before applying this lotion on your skin, cleansing it is a must, to be able to get rid of all dirt and impurities. You can use any mild cleanser of your choice and wash your skin. Pat dry it with a towel.

Step 2: Apply the lotion

Then take 1 to 2 pumps of this product, lather it in between your palms and apply it all over your dry skin.

Massage it very gently, in circular motions, and leave it on until you next wash your skin. This is a leave-in lotion and doesn’t need to be washed off once you’ve applied it to your skin.

To use: You can use this lotion once to twice a day for the best effects.

Personal tip: I personally use this product for my legs and hands after I’ve showered (for it to absorb better as my pores are open after a warm shower) so that it moisturizes my skin all the better.

As for my face, I use this lotion every morning once I have cleansed my skin with a mild cleanser.

The final takeaway: What’s my take?

Well, would I give it a 5/5 star rating? Maybe not! I’d give it a 3.8/5 star rating because I do feel that there are other comparatively better moisturizing products by other Japanese brands.

Also, I really do not think it is not worth the price. While the product is good and does deliver good results, the product quantity is quite less and there are other brands that offer even better products, at a cheaper price.

But if you wish to only try out this brand as a trial, then go in for this product, as it will definitely deliver considerably good results.
