Cherry Blossom Season Japan
I look forward to Japan’s much-anticipated cherry blossom season, which is set to begin shortly.
The latest predictions suggest that 东京 will be the first city to showcase its iconic pink flowers on 3 月 21 日.
Following Tokyo, 福冈, 高知,以及 横滨 are expected to bloom the next day, on 3 月 22 日.
I find it fascinating that the forecasts indicate the blossoms in both western and eastern regions of Japan will generally reach their peak about a week after they first open, while areas in northern Japan are expected to peak roughly five days later.

The forecasts rely on community input, as residents throughout the country have submitted images of the buds for two prominent cherry blossom varieties: Somei-Yoshino 和 Ezo-Yamazakura.
Although the current season has seen colder temperatures slightly delaying bud development compared to last year, an upcoming warming trend in March suggests that blooming times will closely align with average years in most of western and eastern Japan.
Interestingly, certain locations within the Kanto region, including Tokyo, might experience blooms even earlier.
The cherry blossoms are anticipated to reach 北海道, the northernmost region, by late April.
