Any anime enthusiast would know that the powers and abilities the two heroes possess are out of this world and cannot be matched whatsoever. 

But their powers don’t end there and the fans of both the anime shows are eager to know what the end result would be if Son Goku and Naruto fought against each other.

That’s why we’ve analyzed the powers, skills, and abilities of Goku and Naruto and how they’d be able to defeat each other in combat.

Son Goku Vs Naruto Who Would Win? 

Son Goku can defeat Naruto Uzumaki effortlessly in a battle due to his immense superhuman strengths and abilities. However, they’re both incredible heroes in their respective shows and are some of the legendary characters in the anime universe.

Since we’re comparing two different characters from two different anime series, we've briefly discussed Son Goku’s and Naruto’s roles in their respective anime series and a thorough analysis of the set of powers and finesse possessed by both of them.

Son Goku In Dragon Ball Z

Son Goku is the main protagonist in the Dragon Ball anime and manga series. Goku is an extraterrestrial being from the Saiyan race who was initially sent to destroy Earth when he was just an infant. 

However, Goku goes through a head injury which causes him to forget his past and true identity.

He grew up on Earth and learned about the environment around him. He was heavily obsessed with martial arts and kept practicing it every day until he became a master at it. 

Goku met a teenage girl named Bulma who informed him about the seven Dragon Balls that, if collected, would summon a wish-granting dragon. 

Goku meets several people on his journey and also trains himself in martial arts intensely under Master Roshi’s supervision. 

Eventually, Goku would go on to win the World Martial Arts tournament and live an ordinary life with his family. 

However, Goku’s peace is disturbed when a strange being called Raditz arrives at Earth and claims to be his long lost brother.

Goku learns from Raditz that he belonged to the invincible Saiyan race who were extinct and he was assigned on a mission to destroy Earth but his head injury resulted in a loss of his memories. 

Raditz tries to talk Goku into accepting his real identity and to complete his unfinished mission but he fails as Goku is emotionally and physically attached to Earth and considers it his own home. 

This enrages Raditz who kidnaps Goku’s son, Gohan, and threatens Goku and his friends of a severe conflict that would annihilate Earth. 

Hence, Goku teams up with his friends and arch enemies to protect his son and defend Earth at all costs.

Naruto Uzumaki in Naruto

As we all know Naruto is the main protagonist of the Naruto anime and manga series. Naruto was born to Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze who was the Fourth Hokage of the Konoha village. 

The Nine-Tail Fox was released from Kushina and it caused havoc in Konoha trying to destroy the village. Minato had to save his village from destruction hence he sealed the Nine-Tail beast in Naruto’s body.

Unfortunately, Minato and Kushina die, and Naruto would become the Nine-Tails beast host. 

Naruto was left orphaned and he grew up in the village depending on other villagers. He was scorned for being the host of the Nine-Tails beast and Naruto wasn’t aware of what happened to his family. 

Naruto spends most of his time in the village by pulling pranks and disturbing the daily lives of villagers.

One day Naruto learns about his origins and this would encourage him to join the Ninja Academy to become an invincible shinobi. Naruto’s dream was to become a powerful ninja and the Hokage of his village. 

During his training in the academy, he befriends several people and also learns various ninja skills and techniques which he becomes a professional at, later in the series. 

Naruto grew very close to two of his friends, Sasuke and Hinata whom he later married in the series. After several misunderstandings, tragic deaths, wars, and unfortunate events, Naruto finally managed to become the Seventh Hokage of the Konoha village.

Son Goku’s Powers and Abilities

Goku is from the Saiyan race which is an extraterrestrial warrior race that was competing against other races to become the strongest race in the galaxy. The Saiyans are from Planet Sadala which has a gravity that’s way higher than that of Earth. 

This made Saiyans much stronger than other races. Goku is a Saiyan god and he only became aware of his full potential as the series progressed. 

He possesses a wide range of superhuman abilities and to add to his strengths he trained intensely in martial arts. His muscular physique cannot be matched by anyone in the Dragon Ball series or any other anime. 

With Goku’s strength, he can destroy any man made materials into bits and lift extremely heavy objects with ease. 

He can travel at hypersonic speeds in a short period of time. Goku’s physique has the ability to withstand attacks from any man made weapons and survive through immense force. 

He also possesses superhuman senses and reflexes thanks to his Saiyan nature. He can easily dodge attacks and his superhuman instincts are top notch. 

Goku rarely gets exhausted during battles and his combat techniques are on point which helps to fight longer in combat. He’s also resistant to high temperatures due to his super Saiyan lineage. 

Apart from physical strengths he also possesses an impressive set of mental abilities as well. 

Goku is a quick learner; he can imitate the fighting techniques of others just by observing them. He’s also a good strategist as he can come up with instant tactics during combat. 

Goku is able to read the minds of others through telepathy which is something he taught himself.

He does this by placing his palm on their head. These powers are only the tip of the iceberg as Goku possesses way more unfathomable abilities which can be witnessed throughout the series.

Naruto Uzumaki’s Powers and Abilities

Naruto Uzumaki is a powerful shinobi in the Naruto anime series and has earned a name for himself as the mightiest shinobi in the Narutoverse. Unlike Goku, Naruto wasn’t quite strong from his earliest days. 

He began as an amateur ninja who couldn’t even execute simple ninja techniques. However, with time and sufficient practice, Naruto was able to learn and master complex techniques and skills which he showcased in the rest of the anime. 

Since Naruto has the power of the Nine-Tails beast he’s able to summon extreme levels of chakra. In fact, he’s the only ninja in the anime that has the ability to reserve chakra and use them constantly without feeling any exhaustion.

Eventually, Naruto was able to transfer his chakra to others and use one hand to perform hand seals. 

In addition, he has high stamina, quick healing abilities, and vitality. He’s also able to perform jinchuuriki transformations which transform into the Nine-Tails form. 

By doing this, he had access to immense reserves of chakra. Naruto was also good at advanced ninjutsu which he learned from Jiraiya. 

Although initially, Naruto failed to master his iconic “Shadow Clone” technique, later he was able to execute it without any flaws. This technique allows him to form countless shadow clones and each clone would possess huge reserves of chakra. 

His other technique is the Rasengan, which is forming a blue sphere using chakra to attack his opponents. Additionally, he also acquired the Six Paths Senjutsu which is a set of five basic nature powers.

All these powers helped Naruto to combat his opponents in the anime and become the Seventh Hokage and the most powerful shinobi of his village.

Goku vs Naruto: Who Would Win?

As much as we’ve analyzed the powers and prowess of the legendary superheroes, the question of who would be the winner is hypothetical. 

This is mainly because Goku and Naruto belong in completely different anime shows and they haven’t fought against each other. They are the heroes in their respective shows and have proven to be unbeatable in various battles that took place in their universe. 

The Narutoverse and the Dragon Ball universe have their own fundamental concepts of power such as chakra powers, Super Saiyan abilities, etc which cannot be compared to the other. However, we’ve decided to put this dilemma to rest by comparing their powers regardless. 

Goku would be able to win in a battle against Naruto simply because he’s a Saiyan and has superhuman strength that’s unmatchable to Naruto’s Nine-Tails power. Goku literally defeated extraterrestrial beings and has no known weaknesses. 

Hence, Goku can easily take down Naruto even if Naruto used his full potential as the Nine-Tailed beast.
