The protagonist of this anime is a young boy called Gon Freecs who grew up as an orphan and believed his parents were dead. As he grows up, Gon finds out from a man named Kite that his father is still alive and is an experienced Hunter.
Hence, Gon leaves his home and decides to go looking for his father. He decides to become a Hunter like his father so that he could track him down easily.
Gon has to partake in Hunter’s Examination which is known to have complex tests. During his participation in the exam, he comes across three participants such as Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika.
Each of them has their own interesting backstories and Gon becomes a part of them. Together they face countless challenges and obstacles that are quite intriguing to watch.

Later, Lelouch and Nunnally were sent to Japan intentionally by their father to invade the country. The Empire of Britannia successfully captures Japan and this would anger Lelouch even more as he pledges to destroy Britannia.
Several years after the incident, Lelouch is a high school student and gets caught by the guards of Britannia for involvement in a terrorist attack.
Suddenly, he meets a strange girl called C.C who saves his life from the guards and grants him a power called Geass. This power grants him the ability to make others follow his orders.
Lelouch makes his way into the Empire of Britannia and uses mechas to wage war against the Empire.

The hospital prioritizes the lives of politicians and treats them before ordinary people.
Tenma who’s against unfair treatment towards normal patients decides to treat fraternal twins Johan and Anna. Tenma operates on Johan who has a brutal gunshot injury on his head instead of the mayor who came in late.
Unfortunately, the mayor dies and the doctors in the hospital stand against Tenma’s actions.
However, Tenma’s life changes when the doctors against him are murdered and the twins go missing. The police suspect him for the aforementioned incidents and interrogate him.
After several years Tenma becomes a chief surgeon in the hospital and is again stuck in a crime scene where the police suspect him of being the murderer of a convicted criminal.
However, Tenma finds out that Johan is behind all the murders and attempts to find information about him and his whereabouts. To Tenma’s shock, he learns about the origins of Johan and his days in a secret orphanage in East Germany that psychologically programs children to become trained soldiers.
The experiences of both Tenma and Edward in Fullmetal Alchemist align when they find out the secret experiments of the state/ military.
Dororo
Dororo is one of those animes with a nice storyline yet underrated. This anime is worth binge-watching if you loved Fullmetal Alchemist.
The story of this anime depicts Kagemitsu Daigo who made a pact with 48 demons to offer him wealth and power to rule the land in exchange for anything they ask in return.
When Kagemitsu and his wife gave birth to a son they discovered him to be limbless, faceless, and without any proper form of body. The mother perceived the malformity of the baby was due to Kagemitsu making a deal with the demons and left the baby in a basket to float in the river.
The baby was then found by a man named Jukai-Sensei who used magic and alchemy to provide the infant with a prosthetic body.
As the boy grows up he becomes invincible and is gifted a special blade that’s made to kill goblins and demons. When he becomes a man, he hears a ghostly voice that tells him he can retrieve his lost body parts if he kills all the demons responsible for his deformity.
Eventually, he would earn the name ‘Hyakkimaru’ for his inhumane personality.
Hyakkimaru goes on to hunt demons and reclaim some parts of his bodies and he meets a young boy named Dororo who’s a thief.
Both Hyakkimaru and Dororo make enemies in their way and embark on an adventurous and action-packed journey.
Dororo has similar aspects of Fullmetal Alchemist such as alchemy and action scenes that’ll keep you engrossed.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
This anime centers on an apocalyptic battle between monstrous beings called Angels and Evangelion bio machines created by humans to combat the Angels. The protagonist of this anime is a teenager called Shinji Ikari who’s invited by his father; a director of paramilitary forces in an organization called Nerv.
Nerv is the organization that manufactures the Evangelion machines that are biologically synchronized to the pilots who operate them. Shinji’s father compels him to pilot an Evangelion but he fails due to no prior experience.
After recovering from his injuries he trains himself to become a pilot. He then tries to befriend a mysterious girl called Rei Ayanami who helps him to pilot the Evangelion. Shinji, Rei, and another teenage pilot called Asuka Langley team up to destroy the Angels.
Fullmetal Alchemist fans can satisfy themselves by watching Neon Genesis Evangelion since it contains high energetic fighting sequences.
Blue Exorcist
Blue Exorcist focuses on the protagonist named Rin Okumura and his twin brother Yukio. The boys were adopted and raised by an exorcist named Shiro Fujimoto.
Eventually, Rin would learn that he and his brother are offsprings of Satan who’s the leader of Gehenna, the demon realm.
Satan who was obsessed with ruling the human realm of Assiah was unable to do so due to the laws of the realms.
Hence, Satan used his powers to conceive a human woman who gave birth to his sons. Satan believed his sons would return to him and help him acquire Assiah. However, Rin and Yukio have no plans of returning to their original father and they get together to protect Assiah.
Rin learns about his innate powers when he witnesses the death of Shiro. The powers let him transform into a demon and light up blue flames.
Rin joins the True Cross Academy where he learns to become an exorcist like his foster father. Rin and Yukio along with some of their friends’ team up to battle Satan.
You’ll find the brotherhood of Rin and Yukio wholesome and moving just like Edward and Alphonse in Fullmetal Alchemist. This action and fantasy-filled anime will leave you awestruck.
